It's on a 'need to know' basis! Guest information Part 1.. Do's and Don'ts

Updated: Mar 23, 2023

There's always things you need to know about any place you stay and 20 Lancaster Crescent is no exception.

We're attempting to go all modern this year (said with fingers tightly crossed!) and doing away with the paper version of our Guest Handbook. Time will tell whether it works but for now, here's somethings you might want to know about....

Do;

1. Remove outdoor shoes at the kitchen door on entry!

As you'll have already noticed you're in a rural setting, surrounded by glorious walks which equal lots of mud when it's wet.

We really do prefer the mud to remain outside, and not inside on the floors!

2. Alter the heating to suit your comfort levels.

When you arrive in the colder months at least, the heating will be on 'timer' mode with the radiators on a minimum setting of an hour a day, in case of frost.

The boiler is in the cupboard in the main bathroom and there are instructions and diagrams on there to help.

Each radiator will be on a cool setting so these can be altered to suit.

You can alter both of there however you want... all we ask is that you return it to that when you leave to prevent unnecessary wastage of gas.

3. The beds will be made for your arrival.

This is done to suit the number of people you've told us are staying to save you spending precious time when you're wanting to explore, or chill in the hot tub.

On the morning or your departure, we ask you to please strip beds and put the used bedding, hand & tea towels in the blue Ikea bag that you'll no doubt have come across in the main bedroom wardrobe.

4. Pay attention, and adhere to the rules for the Hot Tub - there's a sign facing you once you're in there so there's no excuses!

Before you head there though, please PLEASE remove 'temporary' fake tan!

If you have semi-permanent tanning on your skin... be aware that the chlorine on there WILL remove it.

Not only do we want to keep you streak-free, we also want to avoid you being charged for a replacement filter once it gets blocked. Believe me, it WILL!!

Don't;

1. Smoke inside!

We don't accept any smoking inside the accommodation and neither do our insurers, for obvious fire risk reasons and for additional housekeeping to remove the smell.

If you are a smoker, you're more than welcome to smoke on the decking providing you don't leave debris for the incoming guests.

Please dispose of tab ends safely and responsibly.

2. Leave dogs unaccompanied

We are one of the few private owners with 'luxury' accommodation that do allow dogs, let alone at no additional cost!

Please respect that by covering furniture, preventing them from going in the bedrooms, leaving them unaccompanied indoors and by being a responsible owner by picking up poop from around the caravan and across the park in general.

3. Make too much noise at unsociable hours

We're well aware of you wanting to have a great time, but so do your neighbours.

You might not think you're being noisy, especially if you're in the hot tub but listen to others' in their hot tub and you'll realise how you do actually shout when you're in there with the jets on full blast.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy but be conscious of others please.

Guests in neighbouring caravans will have been advised to call security if the noisy becomes unacceptable just as we advise our own guests.

Don't let it be you that the security guys ask to leave the park!

You have paid a security bond as your deposit.. don't risk loosing it by not following these really small requests!

Thanks xx
